Any rhizome left can grow into a bamboo plant quickly bamboo can grow with little problem. Periodically check for any growing bamboo if bamboo sprouts up take extra care to find any roots. A rototiller can help eliminate the rhizome as it tends to be close to the service. The use of herbicide is one of the other way prevent a rhizome from growing bamboo. The first thing to do before spraying herbicide the bamboo must be cut down to a few inches. If the herbicide does not work, for this hard to kill plant, consider depriving the plant of nutrients. The plant can't grow if it doesn't have sunlight or the soil is not desirable. Covering the rhizomes and containing them can prevent the bamboo from growing out. To further eliminate the plant try changing the Ph levels in the soil making it more acidic as possible. There are other ways to eliminate bamboo plants but these are less costly. It will take patience to eliminate the bamboo plants as it can take close to a year.

In summary always cut down the root of the bamboo plants with all methods. By digging the rhizomes you will prevent the growth. To further prevent the growth of the bamboo plants use herbicide to kill the rhizomes growth. And finally block the rhizome from spreading create a barrier from growing up and away. The plant will eventually be eliminated with consistent use of these methods.
